Is Casa Elana a "smart home"?

Yes.

The Alexa smart speakers can control many appliances and fixtures in the house.

Want to turn the floor lamp in the lounge on? Just say, "Alexa, lounge lamp on". And so long as she understands you, she'll turn the lamp on.

The same goes for the dining room lamp, many lights in the house and some appliances.

Say "Alexa, everything off" as you leave the house, and she'll turn off all the lights, the TV, and various other appliances (not the fridge!). This is a great way to ensure you don't leave anything on and reduce energy consumption to a minimum.
