Are children welcome in Casa Elana?

Unfortunately, no.
Not because we have anything against children, it's just that Casa Elana is a rustic house with many traditional features, many of which can present a hazard for kids.
There is a lot of exposed brickwork and some narrow and steep stairs. Plus, some stairs are narrow and steep AND made of exposed brick. So if a child were to slip on them, the injuries could be nasty.
For this reason, we decided it was best not to allow children. Sorry, but we felt it better to be on the safe side.
